Disneyland May Reopen on April 1, But Not Everyone Is Eligible to Get In...

Disneyland and other California theme parks have been given the green light to potentially reopen on April 1, but there are some conditions that have to be met first.

Counties that are in the red tier will have the opportunity to reopen their theme parks at the 15% capacity level. Once they are in the orange tier, the capacity level can go up to 25% and the capacity can go to 35% once the yellow tier is reached.

Any county that is in the purple tier will not be allowed to have theme park reopenings. Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego all remain in the purple tiers, so they will have to reach the red tier by April 1 to reopen on that date.

There’s a catch though. Not everyone will be eligible to enter the theme parks.

Woman Shot While Eating at Beverly Hills Restaurant Frequented by Celebrities

A woman was shot in the leg during an attempted robbery that happened while she was eating outdoors at Il Pastaio, a popular restaurant in Beverly Hills.

The unidentified woman was transported to a local hospital and she’s being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department.

The incident happened at around 2pm on Thursday afternoon (March 4) and it occurred in broad daylight. Three men approached a table and demanded property from another patron and one of the suspects then shot the woman. All of the suspects then fled on foot.

An eyewitness said that the suspects were trying to steal a man’s watch.

“They (tried to) rob his watch. He was fighting with them,” the witness, who is friends with the man with the watch, told ABC7. “And while they were fighting, he pulled the gun and the gun shot one of the girls.”

CBS Los Angeles reports that it was a targeted robbery for a Richard Mille watch, which is worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. It does not appear that the suspects were targeting the restaurant specifically.

Il Pastaio is frequented by stars like Justin and Hailey Bieber, Katharine McPhee and David Foster, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, and the Hadid family.

29 Oscar Nominees Who Didn't Get Golden Globe or SAG Nominations

The Golden Globes and SAG Awards nominations were announced this week and it gives us a good idea of who will be nominated for the upcoming Academy Awards.

While these two awards are good precursors for the Oscars, there are many instances of actors and actresses getting nominated for Oscars without the other two.

THR notes that of the 29 stars who are on this list, many of their performances were released late into awards season and they likely weren’t seen by enough voters on the nominating committees for the Golden Globes and SAG Awards.

Only one person who is on this list has actually won the Oscar after being snubbed by the other two award shows. That is Marcia Gay Harden for 2000′s Pollock. She’s on this list for another nomination as the list only includes the past 20 years of awards shows.

After Tweets Go Viral About Passenger Dying of COVID-19 on Flight, Official Details Are Released

A viral Twitter thread that you have to read made some headlines earlier this week after a passenger on a plane said a man behind her died from COVID-19 in the middle of their flight.

Now, more details are being released by officials on what happened on that plane.

The flight took off from Orlando, Fla. on Monday (December 19) and was en route to Los Angeles. After a man began shaking and experienced cardiac arrest, the flight was diverted to New Orleans.

A spokesperson for United Airlines says that the passenger “declared he was not diagnosed with COVID and had no COVID-related symptoms,” according to TMZ. The spokesperson says that the man’s wife was overheard saying that he really did have symptoms of the virus, including loss of taste and smell.
