Boyhood is getting an early lead in the awards season by topping the 2014 New York Film Critics Circle Awards with three awards!

The movie won the awards for Best Picture, Best Supporting Actress for Patricia Arquette, and Best Director for Richard Linklater.

Other stars that were victorious this year were Best Actor winner Timothy Spall for Mr. Turner and Best Actress winner Marion Cotillard for her films The Immigrant and Two Days, One Night.

Last year’s big winner at the NYFCC Awards was American Hustle, which won awards for Best Picture, Best Supporting Actress for Jennifer Lawrence, and Best Screenplay. The film didn’t end up winning any Oscars.

Boyhood follows the life of a young man, Mason, from age 5 to age 18.

Zoey Deutch has landed the lead female role in the upcoming movie That’s What I’m Talking About!

The movie is the acclaimed director Richard Linklater‘s highly anticipated follow up to his hit film Boyhood, which received tons of rave reviews this summer.

In That’s What I’m Talking About, Zoey will be playing the lead female character Beverly alongside such hunky actors as Tyler Hoechlin, Ryan Guzman, and Glen Powell. While the plot details aren’t available yet, the movie will center on the lives of baseball players on and off the field in the ’80s.

Also on Zoey‘s slate is the upcoming film Good Kids, which she just wrapped up filming, alongside Ashley Judd and Demian Bichir.

The 43-year-old actor was joined by his co-stars Lorelai Linklater and Ellar Coltrane.

The movie took the guys twelve years to make and shows the life of a young man, Mason (Coltrane), from age 5 to age 18.

Ethan and Richard previously worked together on the films Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, and Before Midnight. They received two Academy Award nominations together for screenwriting.

Ethan Hawke is joined by his pal and frequent collaborator Richard Linklater at the premiere of his new movie Predestination held during the 2014 SXSW Music, Film + Interactive Festival on Saturday (March 8) in Austin, Tex.

The 43-year-old actor also posed with the films writers/directors Michael and Peter Spierig at the premiere.

Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy show off their trophies backstage at the 2014 Critics’ Choice Movie Awards held at Barker Hanger on Thursday (January 16) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The actors starred together in the movie Before Midnight and they received the Critics’ Choice Louis XIII Genius Award along with the movie trilogy’s writer/director Richard Linklater.

Earlier this morning, Richard received an Oscar nomination in the Best Adapted Screenplay category. Congrats!
