American Idol winners Carrie Underwood and Scotty McCreery play some ball during City of Hope’s 2012 Celebrity Softball Challenge during CMA Fest on Saturday (June 9) in Nashville, Tenn.

The Idols were joined by Scotty‘s runner-up Lauren Alaina during the annual music festival for country fans.

The evening before, Carrie blew the roof off the house as she headlined the CMA Fest concert, performing her hits including “Good Girl,” “Blown Away,” “Jesus Take the Wheel,” and “Before He Cheats”.

Avril Lavigne rides a float during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday (November 24) in New York City.

The 27-year-old singer also performed as part of the annual celebration on Turkey Day!

The winner of American Idol season 10 has been announced!

16-year-old girl next door Lauren Alaina and 17-year-old country crooner Scotty McCreery were the last two contestants standing in the finale.

A record number of votes were cast after last night’s sing off — 122 million!

Lauren faced some vocal trouble before the performance round of the finale, with rumors swirling that second runner-up Haley Reinhart would replace her, but she persevered and gave three great performances!
