Anthony Mackie, who plays the role of Falcon in the Marvel Universe films, and his wife Sheletta Chapital have split up after marrying in 2014 and being childhood sweethearts.

Apparently, the 41-year-old actor filed for divorce very quietly back in 2017 and no one knew. The split is said to be amicable and they share four children together. They share joint custody of the kids and there’s no word about any spousal or child support as of right now, TMZ reports.

Anthony is currently hard at work on the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which will be debuting next year.

Anthony Mackie just revealed some super exciting news – he recently welcomed his third child into the world!

The 37-year-old actor married his longtime love Sheletta Chapital last year and they already were the parents to two kids.

Anthony opened up about his family while discussing his upcoming movie The Night Before in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.

“I recently had my third kid, and it just messed up everything that was my reality,” Anthony said. “It just changes your entire perspective on the world. Even traveling is an issue now – I’ve got to buy five tickets! I look at my parents – they had six kids. I always wondered why we never took vacations further than Florida or the Gulf Coast – it’s like, ‘Oh, because they couldn’t afford eight plane tickets, so you just put all the kids in the Lincoln and drive to Florida!’”

The 36-year-old actor and his love wed in a small ceremony at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. “It was low-key and super-relaxed,” a source told Page Six. “They had a welcome dinner. We golfed and drank. They went on a honeymoon soon after.”

Anthony and Sheletta, who have two kids together, have known each other since they were seven years old in New Orleans. They rekindled their romance back in 2009 when he was filming The Hurt Locker on location there.
