Shoshana Bean to Join 'Waitress' on Broadway, Sings Duet with Sara Bareilles to Announce News!

Shoshana Bean is stepping into the role of Jenna in the Broadway musical Waitress!

The actress and singer is returning to Broadway for the first time since 2006, when she played the role of Elphaba in Wicked. She went on to have a successful music career and performs concerts around the globe.

Shoshana is joining the show on March 18 and she will play a limited run through May 12. To celebrate the news, she stopped by the Brooks Atkinson Theatre in New York City to sing a duet of “You Matter to Me” with composer Sara Bareilles.

“Welcome to the diner @shobean….get ready y’all…❤️🌠 @waitressmusical,” Sara captioned the video on her Instagram account.

Shoshana will star alongside Joey McIntyre, who is playing Dr. Pomatter through April 7.

Cynthia Erivo & Shoshana Bean Perform Epic Christmas Concert at Historic Apollo Theater

Shoshana Bean and Cynthia Erivo sparkle on stage during their Night Divine holiday concert at the historic Apollo Theater on Monday (December 17) in New York City.

The epic concert, part of the new series For The Record Presents, featured many special guests, including Matthew Morrison, Leslie Odom Jr., Pentatonix‘s Scott Hoying, and the Broadway Inspirational Voices.

Cynthia and Shoshana kicked off the show with duets on “What Christmas Means to Me,” “This Christmas,” and even a Hanukkah song, “8 Days of Hanukkah.” They then switched off with solo songs and more duets. Highlights included Shoshana‘s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” and Cynthia‘s “Happy Christmas (War Is Over).”

“My magnificent musical soul mate Cynthia… thank you for playing in the trenches and in the clouds with me… for elevating me… til the wheels fall off baby girl… and even then… we’ll drag that sh-t sparks flying,” Shoshana wrote on her Instagram after the show.

FYI: The sparkling looks that Cynthia and Shoshana wore to open the show are by Christopher Palu. The red dresses and the black outfits are by Christian Siriano. The velvet dresses are by Ashton Michael. Cynthia is Tacori and Mio Harutaka jewelry during the show.

Shoshana Bean & Dancer Travis Wall Team Up for Emotional 'This Is Me' Cover Video

Shoshana Bean has released an emotional music video for her cover of The Greatest Showman‘s song “This Is Me” and it features dancer Travis Wall.

“I was lucky enough to lay the original demo for this song almost 3 years ago. I am now lucky to share this acoustic cover version with the insanely talented Travis Wall, who conceived, directed, produced and choreographed,” Shoshana said about the video.

The video starts off with Travis looking at himself in a mirror with words like “failure,” “reckless,” “weak,” and some gay slurs written on his face and body. He then dances around the room and finds his inner self-worth and by the end of the video has words like “champion,” “safe,” “brave,” and “survivor” written on his body.

All proceeds from the song’s sales and streaming go to benefit the LA LGBTQ Center. Download it now on iTunes!

Shoshana Bean Drops Cover of 'This Is Me' from 'Greatest Showman'

Broadway vet Shoshana Bean has dropped a new cover of The Greatest Showman song “This Is Me” and all of the proceeds will go to charity!

The singer, who celebrated the release of her new album Spectrum at a concert in Los Angeles this past weekend, actually recorded the demo for the song years ago.

Shoshana explained at the show that songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul reached out to her to record the demo way before the film had even been green-lit!

Jesse Tyler Ferguson & Shoshana Bean Host Design-a-Gown Event in L.A.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson joins Shoshana Bean at the Starlight Children’s Foundation’s Design-a-Gown Event on Saturday afternoon (February 3) in Los Angeles.

The 42-year-old Modern Family actor the 40-year-old singer teamed up with crafts store Michaels to design new hospital gowns for the young patients of the foundation.

The foundation is hosting a contest for all kids to help design the next Starlight Gown for thousands of hospitalized kids across the country.

Fans can submit their own designs at Starlight.org.

Cynthia Erivo just covered a Taylor Swift song and you need to hear it!

The 30-year-old singer and actress teamed up with Shoshana Bean for an incredible cover of “I Did Something Bad.”

The duo put their own twist on the song, singing alongside talented violin and cello players.

After sharing the cover, Taylor took to her Twitter to praise their rendition of the song.

“Absolutely stunning,” Taylor wrote along with the video.
