Donald Glover Joins 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' Cast

Donald Glover may not be playing the role of Spider-Man in an upcoming live-action movie, but he just snagged a part in Spider-Man: Homecoming, according to THR!

Fans of the 32-year-old actor had campaigned for him to play the title role in the 2012 reboot and then he went on to voice mixed race Spider-Man Miles Morales for the Disney XD animated series Ultimate Spider-Man.

Donald‘s role in Marvel’s new movie has not yet been specified, but he joins a cast that includes Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Michael Keaton as a villain, and Zendaya as the female lead.

Michael Keaton is back in the mix to play the villain in the upcoming Marvel/Sony movie Spider-Man: Homecoming!

The 64-year-old Oscar-nominated actor was initially in talks for the role, but the negotiations didn’t move past the offer stage.

After going to other actors, the studio is trying to get Michael once again and they are in final negotiations, according to THR.

Tom Holland will play Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the upcoming movie after making his debut in Captain America: Civil War. He will be joined by Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, and Zendaya as the female lead.

Tony Revolori and Laura Harrier have just been cast in the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming, according to Deadline and The Wrap.

The 19-year-old Grand Budapest Hotel actor is set to play Peter Parker’s high school nemesis, but won’t be a super villain.

Laura, who has starred on One Life to Live, is said to have landed a significant role but not much is known about her character.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to hit theaters on July 7th of next year.

Michael Keaton to Play Villain in 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'?

Michael Keaton is in early talks to play a villain in the upcoming movie Spider-Man: Homecoming, according to Variety.

It is not yet known which villain from the comic book series he will play and plot details for the film are being kept under wraps at this time.

Tom Holland will be playing Spider-Man and he makes his first appearance as the character in Captain America: Civil War. Also confirmed to star in the movie are Marisa Tomei as Aunt May and Zendaya in a mystery role.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be released on July 7, 2017.
