After six season, The Hills came to an end on Tuesday night (July 13).

The final scene gave the series a perfect ending but left some viewers confused.

“The thing is, as you saw on the end – what’s real and what’s fake, you don’t know,” Brody explained during the live after-show. “Our relationship, the entire time could have been fake. That’s one of the questions: what was real and what was fake, and we left it [open].”

On Monday’s episode of The Hills, Heidi Montag penned an apology note to former BFF Lauren Conrad. Lauren‘s coworker and pal Whitney Port, who’s getting her own spin-off series, read the note aloud:

“I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am about everything. I’m so sorry for every negative or hurtful comment I’ve ever said. That is not how I feel or who I am. I think you are a great person and I will always cherish our memories. Thank you for everything you have ever done for me. I really wish things hadn’t turned out this way but I take responsibility. This whole thing has also been really hard for me.

Sincerely, Heidi Montag”

Lauren basically says she can never be friends with Heidi as long as Heidi‘s boyfriend Spencer Pratt is around. Later in the episode, Spencer gets angry after he finds out that Heidi apologized to Lauren without his knowing.

The Hills girls Audrina Patridge and Stephanie Pratt hold up American flags while celebrating the Fourth of July on Friday at at the DKNY Jeans Beach House in Malibu, Calif.

Their BFF pals Lauren “Lo” Bosworth and Lauren Conrad were also in attendance (both pictured below).

Audrina‘s on-and-off-again boyfriend Justin Bobby and Dieter Schmitz from Laguna Beach also attended the party.

Laguna Beach spinned off The Hills and now a new series is being spun off for none other than Whitney Port!

A source tells Us Weekly that the new show will follow Whitney, 23, as she continues to work for fashion PR firm People’s Revolution and befriends a group of NYC gals (including socialite Olivia Palermo).

Says the insider: “There will be more blondes in the city than you ever expected!”

Lauren Conrad shoots a new scene for the fourth season of The Hills in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

L.C. was seen dining with good pal Brody Jenner and his BFF Frankie Delgado.

Earlier this month, Lauren‘s former BFF, Audrina Patridge, celebrated her leading role in Into the Blue 2 and her 23rd birthday in Las Vegas. Both Lauren and Audrina‘s on-and-of-again boyfriend Justin Bobby were not in attendance.
