Cristiano Ronaldo is Golden Shoe Shirtless

Soccer stud Cristiano Ronaldo soaks in the sun in his hometown of Funchal, Portugal on Sunday.

The 23-year-old Portuguese footie ace was in town to receive the European Golden Boot on Saturday in the Portuguese island of Madeira. Ronaldo was awarded the trophy as the top scorer of the European leagues during the 2007/2008 season.

“It’s wonderful to win the Golden Shoe,” he said. “It’s a great honor, especially because my position is a winger. Normally strikers win this award. So I’ve made a little bit of history.”

Added Cristiano while discussing his ankle surgery from July: “I hope to come back in two to three weeks. I feel very good. I can’t say I feel 100 per cent because I haven’t started to play again but I feel very good.”
