Doug Pitt Named Goodwill Ambassador Of Tanzania

Doug Pitt is honored for his humanitarian work and named Goodwill Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania by President Jakaya Kikwete at NYC’s Essex House on Monday (April 19).

His older brother, actor Brad Pitt, was supposed to attend the tribute dinner but he was grounded due to the volcanic ash from Iceland’s Eyjafjallajokull volcano. Doug‘s wife Lisa Pitt was in attendance.

FYI: Doug is a professional photojournalist and a director of Africa 6000 International, a charity that helps supply fresh water in Africa.

Pothead Pitts, aka Brad, is ugly. His brother, on the other hand, is handsome in a conventional way. I would never mistake Doug for a model, but he’s nice enough looking. His wife is attractive in her own way.

    dollface Says:

Altruism runs in the family. Nice. He’s cute, but he’s no Brad Pitt. Brad is the sexiest man alive.

    j'adore Says:

Mama & Papa Pitt must be so proud of all their children. Brad won the genetic lottery, though. He’s a gorgeous man.

Brad was born in 63 then Doug in 66 last Julie in 69.I think they have the same shaped eyes and big beautiful smiles. You can tell they are brothers.

    janelle Says:

He’s handsome like his brother. I think Doug is three years younger. Big hearts and good looks run in the family!

    Jslin Says:

Wow. I didn’t realize one had to be “gorgeous” to be involved with worldwide issues.

Ugly? Your opinion. Ugly is a horrible and rude attitude towards others, especially towards the ones you don’t even know. People who want to get involved and help human life should not be criticized for it.

    amalia Says:

Am i dreaming or does her forehead resemble Angie’s? She seems really sweet and was probably quite attractive when she was younger. Bravo to the Pitt family. Scary what one little icelandic volcano can do- to travel here in europe- we are all earth bound for a bit- its rather wild!!! I so hope the ash settles soon and life gets back to normal.

This is amazing- too bad the volcano kept Brad away…Doug has 2 nephews and 2 nieces (Z & Shi, of course) that were born in Africa, so he must feel doubly proud to be so honored. Yes, Angie has been a wonderful influence on the whole Pitt family, not just her sweet Brad!

Apparently Brad Pitt won genetic lottery but good hearts run in the family.

  24. 49
    marina Says:

well, Doug did not had to live with the ex sis in law, not for nothing Brad was smoking like a chimney, going into therapy and God know what else, all while keeping appearances and actually living apart.
Good that they both took different paths, now Brad and his family are more in tune into family life and humanitarian work.
Their parents did a good job. They deserve those holidays in Venezia with the grandchildren.

I see the haters are already here hatin’ on Brad’s bro. Biitches really need to get a life…preferably one that doesn’t involve posting on this site. They can hate all they want – just go find someone who gives a shite what they think. Good luck with that…
