Keira Knightley & Elisabeth Moss: 'Children's Hour' in London!

Keira Knightley and Elisabeth Moss are set to star together in the West End production of The Children’s Hour in early 2011.

The play is about two women that run an all girls boarding school, from which a malicious student runs away, and to avoid being sent back, she concocts a story that will threaten the school and the headmasters.

Keira made her West End debut last year in The Misanthrope while Elisabeth starred on Broadway opposite Jeremy Piven in Speed the Plow in 2008.

I think this is great news. Keira is a great actress, I think she’ll be brilliant in her new role on stage and I love Elizabeth on Mad Men.

Good for Keira and Elisabeth for challenging themselves with stage work.

I saw Elisabeth in Speed-the-Plow, both with Sushi-Boy Piven AND a few months later with Piv’s replacement, Wm. H. Macy. She was soooo much better opposite Macy! Could have been more experience, but I prefer to believe it was because Piven sucked. (He did!!)

Until recently the only thing I had seen Keira in was the first Pirates movie. I didn’t have much to go on so never thought of her as a good actress. But I recently watch The Duchess with her and Ralph Fiennes. Wow, they were both wonderful in there. He was wayyy too good at playing her cold husband, but Keira was also wonderful, especially the scene where she hands off the baby to the maid. Gut-wrenching performance. Very sad movie to me, but great acting.

Both super actresses! I wish I was going to London! I saw ” The Children’s Hour ”
Movie with Audrey Hepburn and Shirley McClaine years ago. It was based on a play by Lillian Hellman. What wonderful material. Best to both.
