    You guys it’s been reallly cold in L.A. I know if you live in snowy climates the temps don’t seem that way, but our blood is thinner.

    There is no way she needed ear muffs in the Los Angeles area.. We have been having sunny days. You would look like a fool walking around in the Los Angeles area with ear muffs.

    can this woman act her age already? if this was just a random person on the street you’d look twice & wonder which asylum they walked out of.

    @ugh:

    This criticism of her acting like a lil girl just annoys me. She may have the “quirks” of a young girl, but the character on her show is actually very responsible. I’m baffled as to how Lena Dunham is being hailed as a hero, her character in Girls is so spoiled and ditzy, that I find the character offensive. Yet Dunham’s portrayed as a feminist hero? I find Deschanel’s character more modern, realistic, independent and feminist. Sorry, I know you didn’t mention Dunham, but this has been bugging me for a few weeks.

    @katie: thanks for responding like this is tumblr, and you’re right, i said nothing about that racist lena whatever so why bring her up? — zooey deschanel acts like a child and pretends she’s social awkward when being S.A is an actual illness that i don’t take lightly. i dont find her modern, i find her just another white girl who thinks that acting like a child is adorable. its not. its doing a disservice to women out their who suffer from the same things she deems ‘adorable’.

    ugh Says:

    @katie: and no, i don’t think she’s weak, or not independent enough to be seen a strong women, i just don’t see her as a positive role model. She spends most of her time (on the show) hating women, i’m sure i seen an episode where she tells her best friend that her job as a model isn’t good enough. how exactly is that positive? zooey deschanel herself acts like she’s this sweet ‘girl’ who loves cupcakes & unicorns and then she’s on youtube, stoned off her as*s.. how exactly is any of that positive?

    NE1 Says:

    She’s a quirky girl..

  18. 18
    katie Says:

    @ugh:

    Well I agree Deschanel’s character is a bit hypocritical and Dunham/her show is definitely racist. I’m just baffled as to why so many people complain about Deschanel when Dunham’s character is so much worse. Obviously you don’t fall in to that category, my comment was more a general gripe. Zooey seems eccentric by nature, she’s rarely papped so she doesn’t bother me. People in LA love to dress weird anyway (I used to live there).

    ugh Says:

    @katie: i understand what you mean..
    ….but about being ‘papped’ — she has to give them permission to take her photo inside a store so.. i don’t think she’s any different to other actors it’s just that she gives off a ‘good girl’ vibe.

    katie Says:

    @ugh:

    I heard that rule too, but now I don’t know if that’s an actual rule. She’s rarely papped, so why would she all of a sudden start courting the papparazzi?

  21. 21
    ugh Says:

    @katie: the same reason every other celebrity does, publicity.
    And it’s a legal matter – you have to give them permission to take your photo inside a store

    ugh Says:

    ..otherwise they’ll be sued because it’s private property
