John Legend Covers 'Fault' Magazine - Exclusive Video!
John Legend is cool as can be on the cover of Fault magazine’s latest issue, which also features a behind the scenes look at the photo shoot, given exclusively to JustJared.com!
Here’s what the 34-year-old six-time Grammy award winner, who releases his 5th studio album Love in the Future this Spring, had to share after his mag shoot, which was styled by Avo Yermagyan:
On his advice to young performers: “Work hard, develop your own sound and learn all the different processes of making music. A good song is a good song regardless of [its] genre. There are fewer concentrated ways to get your music out there, but marketing can happen so many different ways these days, like social media, different talent shows, etc.”
On his musical influences growing up: “Well, when I was younger, lots of soul music: Motown and artists like Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Nat King Cole [and] Luther Vandross. Then, when I was a bit older (in my early teens), artists and groups like Jodeci had a big influence on me.”
On his plans for 2013: “Touring, performing and releasing the new album.”
