Worst news of my night. I loved this show so much. Sure Karen sucked but Ivy’s character was so good. Maybe If they would of just focused on her the show would of gotten renewed.

It’s about time. Season 1 was great. But Season 2…. what a disappointment

The showrunner this season was Josh Safran aka the man who destroyed GG. He should never be hired as a showrunner again.

Saw this coming after I watched the series premiere last year. The show lacked warmth and other things that I can’t quite describe. It just wasn’t great.

Very sorry for the cancellation – loved Megan Hilty she is so talented – can’t believe Glee being on for so long and a mature show like Smash going away – I guess the audience is not so mature!

I agree. I tried to get into, because it seemed like a show I liked, but no, I absolutely hated it.

I am so disappointed that Smash has been cancelled. I looked forward to it every week. We need more musicals and entertainment shows on TV. ENOUGH REALITY! Please bring it back. How about NOT catering to the 20 year olds who only like violence, sex and zombies?

This is awful, I love Smash, the complex characters, the twists and most of all THE MUSIC. From the first episode of Season 1 I already became addicted “Beautiful” by Christina Aguilera was sung by Karin Cartwright. I think her version is much better than the original. Not to mention “September Sing” which Eileen Rand sings ever so beautifully.

There is no show like this one, no crime and blood. Just music, singing and dancing. Totally Broadway and totally Marilyn. I love the glamour and the glitz but most of all the cast and their characters, they bring so much to the stage/screen.
I will miss it very much but I will buy both seasons (1&2) on dvd.
