  • claudia

Oh Daw, you poor sarcasm-less person.

  • ellie

@Dawn. I thought the same thing.
Not a fan when people feel the need to point out how “intelligent” they are.
    Humility is a wonderful trait.

  • amy

@ellie and @dawn you’re idiots and obviously have self-esteem issues. People are allowed to think that they are beautiful and smart (or intelligent). People are allowed to be comfortable in their damn skin. Stop judging her and bring up your own damn self-esteem. People these days are ridiculous. Especially you two.

  • Aw Congrats

I remember her Mom from so many shows, she’s a beautiful African American actress – had no idea she had kids in their late 20s. She still looks that young herself.

  • ellie

Oh, okay. Amy. Thank you for your classy response to my opinion. An opinion I am certainly ALLOWED to have!
Again, humility is a wonderful trait. I stand by my comment. And it’s hilarious you tell me to stop judging when your post is filled with judgments about me. Good day.

  • runningtree

your taking the comment to literal….hyperintelligent = alert, brainy, bright, brilliant, clever, exceptional, fast, hyperintelligent, keen, nimble, quick, quick-witted, sharp, sharp-witted, smart,

  • Nicole

@Dawn she is hyper intelligent, she always had high grades in high school and went to UCLA before becoming an actress. And you can tell by her posts on twitter and instagram that she is.

  • k

@ellie and @dawn she has every right to say she’s intelligent, she was valedictorian at her high school and went to a top college, she’s a very intelligent in the way she’s speaks in her interviews.

  • all opinions allowed

And people have every right to think comments like that are off-putting. She’s not the first or last intelligent person in Hollywood (or the world) but not everyone feels the need to advertise it.

Only stupid people dumb themselves down to please others.
It’s nice to have a woman who will say ‘I am intelligent,’ because she IS.
I bet if it was a man calling himself intelligent you wouldn’t have a problem would you? Because it’s ok for men to show confidence but oh no in this world women aren’t allowed.
Get off your sexist high horse.

This woman is a REAL role model to young girls, not like all the Kardashian/Jenners whose only concerns are their appearances.

Since when did society become so messed up that you can no longer admit to being intelligent? For crying out loud.

  • Brooke

    @all opinions allowed:

She was hardly ‘advertising’ it. Its not like she took a front page ad “look at me im intelligent”. You’re obviously threatened by other people’s self confidence. Maybe you should work on your own rather than feeling the need to return to this article several times to defend your ridiculous comment by using different names to pretend people agree with you.
The old “everyone is allowed to have their opinion” comeback huh? Everyone can now take a pretty good guess at how old you are.
Only unintelligent people are threatened by others’ intelligence.

  • yumi

@Dawn: she’s saying THEY are hyper intelligent

  • Daria

it is so ridiculous what you say, that I just couldn’t ignore this and I have to interfere. people are allowed to think and call themselves whatever they want but other people are equally allowed to react to that.
humble people look more adequate and sane. Hyper-intelligent you call yourself? then don’t act agressive when people start ask how it shows?
I thought hyper-intelligent people are philosophers, inventors, pioneers not just some people with high self-esteem (though it is good to have one) who read books from time to time.
if you say something – about yourself or others – be ready to prove your words with something more solid than some “i can say what i want, you can’t forbid it” tantrum

  • Daria

May I interfere here as well? OK. Let me remind you, she didn’t show her superintelligence, sorry, hyperintelligence, she just stated it. Am I feeling threatened to question that? A person says: “I’m super athlete”,and you say “Really?” because you feel threatened?

“Only unintelligent people are threatened by others’ intelligence.”
soooooo intelligent people should nod to everything they hear, even if it sounds very pretentious and idiotic, because otherwise – if they allow themselves to react naturally – it’s the sign of fear?
sounds really tricky. or absurd, to be precise.
keeping your mouth shut in above mationed situation is the sign of fear and intimidation

ar first I intended to omit this, but now I will say it anyway, intelligent person will never call her or himself “hyper-intelligent”, because, you know, the more you know, the more you realise there is so much to be known

Saw part 3 the last part & I wanted to yell NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Don’t emrcabe the suck & take the Lawyers advice. I would have been happy it the series ended with her thinking over the Lawyers proposal, then in my mind I could have gone well she took her advice & those SOB’s are going to at least get vilified in the public eye. I hope women in the service or going to join see this & start reporting these cases more & try contacting a news agency to get the story out there & force an investigation. Look at the Trayvon Martin case, had it not been for people hearing about the story and putting pressure on the cops Zimmerman would have never been arrested and now there will be a trial. I think the same thing can happen with the rape victims & their stories. Get the story out there and let the public put pressure on the military to take action against rapists in the military. 0
