    She keeps making all these movies. Yet, I have never seen one hit the movie theaters recently. Where are they going, straight to Netflix?

  • gracie

    Another low budget film?

  • Roberta

    @BELLA: We’re the millers grossed almost $270 million worldwide. That’s a hit.

  • she looks bad, never had a pretty face but her age is catching up to her and it doesn’t look good.

    Jennifer Aniston making a film drama??

    The world is weird ….

  • Ivy

    IT Will be ok jen. Just remember your mantra “kids are messy”

  • a true indie film

    @Roberta:

    Doubt this film will gross much, it is a cheap budget indie film with an announced budget by its newly formed production company of $7-10 mil to make films primarily for the Chinese market. Not one member of the large cast including jen is making more than $500,000 in a salary. This is her effort trying to move into drama as her rom com days are sliding in the abyss. Problem for her is that her ingrained RGreen persona and monotone whiny voice will once more be on display with no stripper pole double “acting” for her in the film. LOL

    This is why she is pushing Aveeno and the hair products so hard these days. She has an expensive lifestyle to keep up. But hey props to her for doing what she must to afford what she wants.

  • drats

    @:

    She looks unrecognizable. Plastic surgery? And she needs to tell her boyfriend Justin to get a better hair colorist. That jet black color on him is too harsh.

  • Joy B Angie

    @Ivy:
    Of course, kids are messy
    as they become the morons like you.

  • Jack S.

    “Cake” is an independent film that is co-starring, Anna Kendrick, William H. Macy, Felicity Huffman, Sam Worthington and Chris Messina. Here is the synopsis:

    The acerbic, hilarious CLAIRE SIMMONS becomes fascinated by the suicide of a woman in her chronic pain support group. As she uncovers the details of Nina’s suicide and develops a poignant relationship with Nina’s husband, she also grapples with her own, very raw personal tragedy

    Jen plays Claire Simmons.

  • a true indie film

    Not much money for makeup costumes wigs and all in this film’s budget. This wig looks like the terrible Management wigs which were part of a $10mil indie film as well. Locations around LA so little travel costs as not much $$$ for that.

    Oh well any film crew employed in LA area is all good.

  • Joy B Angie

    @a true indie film:
    Blah-blah-blaah :
    “….her effort trying to move into drama…”
    Do you want to say “Derailed” was a comedy ?

  • groundcontrol

    the “HILARIOUS Claire Simmons”??
    .
    Not in the short story I read. Here’s hoping the script is better than that short story.
    .
    This looks like Aniston’s attempt to win acting glory by making her hair look dirty. I guess a girl’s gotta try something.

  • Jack S.

    @Lol:

    Jennifer has never had a film go straight to DVD and neither will this one.

  • groundcontrol

    Spring was never waiting for us, girl . . . It ran one step ahead . . .

  • JustinWantsaBlackWoman

    @Jack S.: yea she did- the thin pink line

  • Jack S.

    @a true indie film:

    The Good Girl was mostly drama with a little humor thrown in. Also, The Object of My Afffection, Rock Star with Wahlberg, Derailed, and her part with Ben Affleck in He’s Just Not That Into You were dramas

  • JustinWantsaBlackWoman

    @Jack S.: BAHAHAHAHAH, no they were not. They were listed as rom coms you moron. Stop trying to hype up mannifer- it’s not working…

    I guess mannifer wants to be the 2014 “Gia.” BAHAHAHAHA

  • Jack S.

    @JustinWantsaBlackWoman: Oh sorry…..however it was not solely her film…..it was an ensemble piece.

  • JustinWantsaBlackWoman

    @Jack S.: Wxcuses, excuses. If it bombs, it’s not her movie. If it makes pocket change, she’s the lead! GTFOH.

  • Jack S.

    @JustinWantsaBlackWoman:

    Sorry but you are wrong.
    Derailed was a drama thriller and all the others I mentioned were listed as Comedy/Drama not “RomComs”……

  • yeah sure LOL

    @Jack S.:

    Err comedy/drama?????

    She was the weakest actor by far in Derailed and it tanked.

    JustinWantsaBlackWoman is correct.

  • Keller

    People who don’t like Jennifer Aniston get more and more pathetic as time goes on. I don’t really get it, she seems lovely enough, and she’s not the best actress alive, but she’s not terrible. Not every movie has been a hit, but some have. But you people, my goodness you are a vitriolic and pitiful lot. You say that all she can talk about is getting dumped by Brad Pitt to stay relevant, when I haven’t seen her mention it in YEARS and he has mentioned her in several interviews in the past few years. She wouldn’t even respond when asked about HIS talking about HER. You say that she’d never get a long term boyfriend, then you say she’d never get engaged, now it’s that she’ll never get married. You say she’ll never do anything but portray rachel-esque characters, but now she’s branching out into different roles (and getting rave reviews, in cases like Life of Crime) and you’re criticizing her for something different. If you don’t like her, say you don’t like her, that’s your opinion, but don’t come up with bogus reasons and then keep changing them. I’m sure you feel pretty satisfied with yourselves when you post comments calling people an ape, but my goodness, how miserable you all must be. It makes you look like the worst kind of person.

  • Jack S.

    @Keller:

    Bravo Keller! Love your post. Unfortunately, most of the turds on this post don’t even know what the word “vitriolic” means. I cannot wait to see “Life of Crime”, “Horrible Bosses 2″ and “Cake”……Jennifer is extremely versatile with comedy and drama!

  • Lies

    @Keller:
    “rave reviews’ the reviews I saw on rotten tomatoes say she is the weakest link. I think the only positive review about her performance was from Variety

  • Lies

    meanwhile, swinging into the film’s after-party, dressed in a form-fitting leather jacket, a sexy-looking Justin Theroux was poked and prodded. But he refused to give up any top-secret information. The “Wanderlust” star even obliged when one flirty guest politely asked if she could pinch his derriere at the Cinema Society and Gucci Guilty soiree.

    While Jen is working her man is letting random females touch him

  • Kim

    Vitriolic =her BFF , Handler, calling Jolie a homewrecking cu#t and making racist comments about JP’s adopted kids.Handler sleeping with her married E boss, Aniston sleeping with Theroux knowing he had a live in girlfriend = homewrecking cu#ts
    BTW Pitt didn’t mention her he talked about his boring marriage in the same way she just talked about how miserable her thirties were.
    Personally I hope she gets married, have babies, etc. enough with the Poor Jen narrative.

  • JustinWantsaBlackWoman

    Oh, it’s one of the sanctimonious hens again… Where was this essay narrative when the flock of hens were trashing Jolie? Oh, you can only be sanctimonious when someone doesn’t like mannifer… Tear Tear.

  • Jack S.

    @Lies:

    RT shows Life of Crime at 78%. Here is the link in case you want to read all the great reviews:

    http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/life_of_crime_2013/

  • Keller

    @Lies: I was pretty sure I’d seen several when I first read the film’s reviews after TIFF, so I went back and looked at Rotten Tomatoes to refresh my memory, and Variety loved her, IndieWire said she topped many of her recent roles with a spirited performance, The Guardian said she had deft comedic timing, and many of the other links weren’t working or went to the wrong film reviews. point being, I never said everyone who has seen the film said it’s amazing, I said she’s getting rave reviews, and she is. I actually didn’t find any that said she’s the weakest link, but I feel confident that you’ll inform me if I’m wrong on that.

  • Keller

    @JustinWantsaBlackWoman: Oh how uninformed you are. I have actually posted something similar on a Jolie thread, although she has NOTHING to do with this thread. I’m not a Jolie hater, I think she’s a fine actress. I just also think that Aniston is a fine actress. But thanks for proving my point. You all claim that she’s still eaten alive by Jolie’s mere presence on earth, but amazingly, YOU guys are always the first to bring it up. So maybe it’s time to take a closer look at who is really having trouble letting go.

  • JustinWantsaBlackWoman

    @Keller: Uhm, I read the Jolie threads daily and not once did you post anything… Unless you are one of the name changing hens that frequent the Jolie Pitt threads?

  • JustinWantsaBlackWoman

    @Jack S.: The ratings always drop around the time the movie is about to premiere. Also, a 78% with only 10 reviews is kind of sad. I’ve seen worse movies receive a higher score during the early stages…

  • Jack S.

    From the reviews of Life of Crime:

    ” The performances, too, are top notch: Aniston reminding us of the deft comic timing which first so endeared her;” from The Guardian

    “Last but far from least, Aniston is terrific in a more seriocomic part than usual as a dissatisfied upscale wife who’s kept up appearances for the sake of convention and her son, but who increasingly turns misfortune to her own advantage.” from Variety

    ” Aniston tops any of her recent performances with a spirited turn that harkens back to her neurotic days on “Friends,”” from indiewire

  • JustinWantsaBlackWoman

    Now let’s see hat the real critics have to say when they are invited to private screenings, and not the media outlets that Huvane has access to. LOL.

  • Jack S.

    @JustinWantsaBlackWoman:

    Whatever. You don’t like her and that’s fine. But I think she is a very good actress with excellent comic timing and delivery.

  • Keller

    @JustinWantsaBlackWoman: I don’t think I’ve always used this name, this happens to be my middle name and it was what I thought of when I wanted to comment today, but I don’t remember what I’ve used in the past, because I don’t comment very often. Only when I see people being really dumb or have something to say. But the fact that you read Jolie threads every single day and know every person who’s ever commented on them? like I said, she’s a fine actress, but buddy… do something else with your time. They both get written about all the time, if not every day, so policing Jolie threads and spreading hate (you can’t exactly claim that’s not what you’re doing, no one even attacked Jolie in here, so you can’t even say you’re defending her) in Aniston threads must be all you do. Also… Variety is about as reputable an industry publication as you can get, your point is pretty baseless there. Go find something that you love and that is productive and work hard at it and make the world a better place.

  • Dawne

    who is Jack…….Huvane? LMAO girl should just hang it up and go away……..she failed. She failed to transcend from teevee to film…….Brad Pitt allowed her more time but it’s not on her side now and her talent is that of a celebrity……..zilch…..any movie she is in you can plug in just about any female in HW.

  • Jack S.

    @Dawne:

    It funny but Jennifer has been a successful movie star since the 90′s. And since her break up with Brad, she has been more successful since 2005 which makes that 9 years. Her worldwide film grosses are $2,557,743,384…..not bad for being a “failure”……

  • Jack S.

    @Dawne:

    Her last film, “We’re the Millers” grossed $270,000,119 worldwide….

  • Keller

    @Dawne: Just wanted to say thanks. You proved my point beautifully. You saying that she has failed makes me laugh because despite how utterly baseless and removed from reality that claim is, I’m pretty sure you think it’s true, and for no other reason than because you WANT it to be true because you don’t like her.

  • JustinWantsaBlackWoman

    @Keller: I like how you deflect and talk about me. You are one of the disgusting, bipolar trolls who trash the Jolie Pitts but act sanctimonious on other threads. The life of a schizophrenic must be hard, huh?

  • JustinWantsaBlackWoman

    @Dawne: She’s trying to be a new generational “Gia.” Mannifer wants to be Sngelina so bad.

  • Keller

    @Jack S.: LOL. If that is the standard of failure, I wish I was more of a failure. As it is, I’ll take a happy marriage, successful well-paying career and the fact that every now and then, I can come in here and rile up people who spend their entire days hating on total strangers, and rile them up just by pointing out the truth. Troll is a fitting name. Have a good evening, folks.

  • anch1977

    i CANT STAND HER MANLY FACE.

  • Jack S.

    @JustinWantsaBlackWoman:

    Why the constant comparison of Jennifer to Angelina? Jennifer has moved on and is successful with her career in her own right which has nothing to do with Jolie. The Jennifer has moved so I suggest you do the same. Each actress has their own successful career so please stop the comparing……it serves no good.

  • Lies

    @Keller:
    rte. (Aniston, on the other hand, is as grating and disagreeable as ever, unfortunately.) And although things inevitably begin to escalate past a certain point, Life of Crime fizzles out to a distressingly lamentable degree as it limps into its inert final stretch – with the movie ultimately unable to establish a place for itself alongside such stellar Leonard adaptations as Out of Sight and Jackie Brown.

  • Lies

    Hollywood Reporter a reputable site gave the movie a rotten and didn’t even mention anistons performance. How memorable could she be of she can’t even get a mention. And since when is “topping” your recent performance which includes millers, wanderlust, just go with it, considered a rave?
