    This is ridiculous!

    This she/he needs to make up his/her mind. The beard freaks me out when he/she wears dresses. GROSS!

  • Domino

    She is so beautiful but the beard is just wrong. It looks bad! She wants to turn heads and she has obviously succeeded at doing that. I just can’t deal with that beard.

  • Unstoppable

    I’ll never understand why a beard is such a big deal for some, especially such a well groomed one as this.

  • xyzc

    More ridiculous are those who pay him attention and consider him important

  • xyzc

    @Domino:

    Its a he, not a she. Deal with it. A sad, patethic tool, thats all.

  • Unstoppable

    @xyzc: You’re obviously paying attention too.

    Well, most of the people don’t realize that Conchita is a Drag Artist, right?
    There are a lot of different drag queens. Some are shrill, others are loud, funny and flashy, some can sing, others not.
    And there are the decent ones, like Conchita. And some wear beards, nothing really new.
    The beard is a provocation, that people give her attention and listen to what she is saying. And see – it works!
    So much hate and discussions because of a little bit facial hair…

  • Unstoppable

    @Woody: Yes exactly. Although I have to say that right at the beginning Conchita appeared a little exaggerated too, the voice sounded put on and the whole staging was a tad too artificial. Meanwhile I can take her seriously and the fact that even some Eastern European politicians seem to feel threatened and provoked (their reactions really amused me no end, who would have thought that a small country like Austria would ever be able to achieve that) shows that this really brilliant concept works out. Hardly anyone seems to be indifferent to her, most people either love or hate her with a vengeance that’s alarming.

  • Woody

    @Unstoppable:

    Yes, right! In the beginning Conchita was really trashy.*lol* With that weird voice she sounded always a bit hysterical. I think it was funny, but it was nothing for ESC or a worldwide success!
    But now…*wow* she looks better than most women and I do not care about the beard. Beard? Is there a beard?;)

    I do not understand why so many people are confused about her appearance. Explain it to a five year old and it will understand.
    Some adults don’t want to understand, that’s the problem.
