'Guardians of the Galaxy' Opens Huge, Scores Biggest Thursday Evening Opening of the Year!

Guardians of the Galaxy had an amazing several hours at the box office – the Marvel film brought in $11.2 million in the midnight preview screenings, Variety reports.

The film quickly rose to the title of best midnight opening of the year thus far, besting other Marvel film Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which brought in $10.2 million back in April.

The movie is also on track for the biggest August opening of all time, projected to premiere north of $75 million this weekend!

The flick stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, and more – check it out this weekend!

    Guardians of The Galaxy is the funniest damn film I have seen in years. Loads of action adventure and tons of spaceships and cool sci-fi. I love this film. I will see it at the theater again. Guardians rock!
