Lauren Bacall Dead - Legendary Actress Dies at 89

Lauren Bacall has sadly passed away at the age of 89.

The legendary actress suffered a massive stroke at her home on Tuesday (August 12), a family member told TMZ.

Lauren is best known for her roles in the movies Designing Women, How to Marry a Millionaire, and The Mirror Has Two Faces, which earned her an Oscar nomination in 1997. She later received an Honorary Award from the Academy in 2009.

Lauren was married to actor Humphrey Bogart from 1945 until his death in 1957. They had two children together. She was later married to Jason Robards from 1961 until 1969 and they had one child together.

No words…we’ve lost another legend. She was one of the few stars we had left from the Golden Age. I always thought she was one of the most beautiful and charismatic actresses to ever on screen. She was also a fascinating woman who lived a long and amazing life. I am grateful she shared so much of herself with the world. May she rest in peace.

@GFW: She got a Golden Globe win and an Oscar nom for Mirror. I should know. I love that film. It’s very underrated.

Huge loss to the entertainment industry. SHE was literally one of the last true stars. Rest in peace Lauren, your legacy will last for eternity.

It has, JJ Murphy from Game of Thrones died on Friday just days after starting filming on the new series.

Wow, incredible sad. She was such a great actress and he and Boggy will always be my favorite couple. Well at least they meet again.
