Joan Rivers' Family Releases Another Statement: 'We Are Keeping Our Fingers Crossed'

While Joan Rivers remains in the hospital, her family remains hopeful.

In a new statement released on Sunday (August 31), the 81-year-old comedian’s daughter Melissa said, “We are keeping our fingers crossed.”

Joan is still in serious condition after being admitted to Mount Sinai Hospital on Thursday (August 28) in New York City’s Upper East Side. She stopped breathing and went into cardiac and respiratory arrest while a doctor was checking on a chronic problem with her vocal cords.

Since then, celebrities have taken to social media to send their well wishes.

Our thoughts are with Joan and her family during this difficult time. We will continue to update you on the situation.

come on, Joan. Don’t leave us.

Back in the 1980s I sold a few monologue jokes to Joan Rivers.
Which makes me an expert on the subject.
Her current bed ridden state is confirmation of the dying Palermo mother in Moonstruck, 1987.

STFU already with these redundant statements! Yes, we get it, she’s trying not to look at the light and y’all are hoping she doesn’t walk into it. Enough! Put (most of) *us* out of our misery! Can’t stand this loud mouthed family. #Karmasabitch

This woman actually wished death for innocent kids
dying in Palestine.
People who says she wasn’t mean and she was good
human being but what about the nasty remarks that
she made for innocent Palestinian kids dying. WASN’T
THAT MEAN? actually that was disgusting. Kids are
innocent no matter they belong from a place or
group you hate the most. And for people saying they
can’t believe about some mean remarks of people
about her dying. but what about the mean
comments she made for innocent kids dying?
Imagine it could be anyone’s kids or family dying in
some horrible incident. I understand some people
hate Palestinians but wishing death to innocent kids?
seriously??? I myself won’t even imagine wishing
death to my worst enemies child let alone

Hell is waiting for you Joan @ 08/31/2014 at 6:37 pm

Once upon a time there was this witch called Joan
rivers, she use to haunt people in their sleep and give
them nightmares through her lame jokes and plastic
horrible face. It was said that if she actually appears
in someone’s dream they would die of heart attack.
She haunted people for more than 80 years but like
every devil her time came too. So Finally she’s dying,
and many people in this world are actually praying for
her to DIE and never return again to haunt them. So
that the world would be a little better place. but like
every devil she has her followers too who are wishing
her to get well soon so that they will not loose their
devil leader. But not even they can save her because
her time has come to die in pain.

Wishing death on someone that you don’t even know.. Unbelievable. Take the speck out of you own and judge not lest Ye be judged the way you judge others is the way you will also be judged. Don’t waste your time crossing your fingers but pray instead in the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit that’s the only way you’ll get your prayers answered.

81 YEARS is a good run in life.
If she does not make it I am sure she feels she has lived her life to the full with few regrets.

I wish her a speedy recovery and for her family to be strong and positive. No matter how long you live when your time is up you realize that we are only here for a short time. Cherish every precious loved one and every passing moment. All we are given is THIS moment. Live it with love and be kind.
