'Deadpool' Movie Gets Release Date, Will Ryan Reynolds Star?!
The long-awaited X-Men spin-off Deadpool has finally been set into motion and it just got a release date of February 12, 2016.
Twentieth Century Fox and Marvel Comics are teaming up for the new film and Tim Miller will be making his feature film directorial debut with the movie. He previously did the visual effects for the cult favorite Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
Ryan Reynolds, who played the role in the film X-Men Origins: Wolverine, is rumored to play the part, but he is not yet confirmed. Some test footage recently leaked and Ryan actually commented on it.
“There was such an overpowering reaction to the footage, you sort of feel like, ‘Oh, so we weren’t crazy for our reasons for loving this character, for loving this role.’ It’s interesting to see the power of the Internet. It’s awe-inspiring, actually,” Ryan told the Niagara Falls Review. “And it’s neat that Twitter and Facebook and Instagram can move mountains when used in the right way.”
