Stephen Collins Gives First TV Interview Since Scandal (Video)

Stephen Collins is speaking out in his first television interview since his child molestation scandal and says that he never wanted his acts of sexual abuse to be known by the public.

“I had put that stuff behind me,” the 67-year-old 7th Heaven actor said in a 20/20 interview with Katie Couric. “Most people get to, or have to or choose to hide it. This came out. I didn’t choose this to come out. I didn’t want to have to deal with these things publicly.”

“I had dealt with them very, very strongly, and committedly, in my private life, but I think, I’m a human being with flaws and I’ve done everything to address it,” he added.

“I’m a flawed person,” Stephen continued. “And in the church, it’s actually one of the things I love about the church… it’s really one of the main things about the Christian faith, is you know, Christ said in so many ways, ‘bring me that … which about you is broken, bring it,’ and most people are broken in some way.”

Make sure to read what Stephen had to say in another interview released this morning.

He’s done nothing to address it and of course he didn’t want this to come out. He is now paying the piper. Nothing can give the children he abused their innocence back.

He has dealt with it but what about the small children he abused. Where I live historical child abuse can be prosecuted and cannot understand why there is a time limit on this crime in the USA. The impact of the crime can last forever but the abuser can get away without any punishment. His interview showed no real remorse and he seemed most concerned that his criminal actions have become public.

this guy is just another liberal democrat who was trying to teach the children they should respect adults in any situation.
