Bill Cosby's Alleged Sexual Assault Victims Unite for 'New York Magazine' Cover Story

Bill Cosby‘s alleged victims of his sexual abuse have come forward for a very powerful magazine cover.

Thirty-five of the forty-six women who have come forward – including Janice Dickinson and Beverly Johnson – are taking the cover of New York Magazine together.

“I felt like a prisoner; I felt I was kidnapped and hiding in plain sight. I could have walked down any street of Manhattan at any time and said, ‘I’m being raped and drugged by Bill Cosby,’ but who the hell would have believed me? Nobody, nobody,” one of the victims, Barbara Bowman, wrote.

Each of the brave women posed for a portrait and told their story to the magazine. You can read about each of the 35 women over at

Why didn’t they move on already. Nothing is coming out are it now. And you women didn’t report it then? Come on. No one suppose to be afraid are a man assauting them. You suppose to address the issue then . Not wait years later. Some are the women are old now. Should move on and put this to rest. Money is what they want. And I am sure they got paid for being on the cover

They will need to put him on suicide watch after that.

Jared, I think it’s really important for you to regulate the comments attached to this article. After watching this compelling evidence, it is absolutely unacceptable to have to read any comments that express anything but support for these women’s suffering. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, yes, but reading comments of this nature – as Delores Pauldo has expressed – is actually incredibly harmful to this discussion, and disrespects these women’s bravery.

  • lolo

First- it is common for ANY victim of sexual assault to wait MANY many years, even decades, because of the shame they feel. Hey Delores, imagine some famous powerful man drugged you and put his d*ck in your mouth. And you go to lawyers, and they laugh you out of their office. Did you read what these women SAID? Several did come forward much earlier, and NO ONE BELIEVED THEM. They didn’t all wait 20 or 30 years, and even if they did, it’s so d*ck heads like you wouldn’t accuse them of being money-seeking liars. It took all this time and all these victims and this other comedian putting Cosby on blast to bring this to light. These women are only now ALLOWED to have their stories heard. And after all they have suffered – are you so ignorant? Go read what they said. Talk to a therapist and they’ll explain why victims wait. Do you have any idea how shameful and painful that would be?

  • lolo

I’m with you, Hannah. These women deserve respect and protection. As do all victims.

Great point Delores. Also, some of Bill Cosby’s accusers are writing op-eds in coveted media like Newsweek. Propelled ahead of professional writers. How many aspiring journalists wish for such opportunities? The accusers are also getting national interviews, book deals, and TV roles. And they are promoting their personal paintings and other entrepreneurial works. Accusing Bill Cosby carries them to the front of lines. This is motive people who have not been raped to exploit the circumstance.

Your ideal world is where everyone obeys the mob’s lynch mentality. No individual-minded thinkers. Read George Orwell’s novel 1984.

  • Kenshin0011

Our modern world and society is heavily inter-connected, so charging these women as liars/exploiters because they do interviews is ridiculous.

i completely agree. i don’t think all of them were assaulted but it’s easy for a woman to say that she was rape because women always play the victim.

  • TheBurningBush

liberals and racist white folk are making sure these lying women are getting paid.

  • sheigh

It’s simply a black man lynched in public’s eyes! Even Stephen Collins & Bryan Singer didn’t get all that bad media treatement! My thoughts are going for all these forgotten victims by Collins & Singer!

  • TTC92

What Bill Cosby did was horrible, but the Media is as biased as they come, and it’s really sad.

This shows movement in a direction I like. Let’s support the actual victims, rather than focusing our attention on the perpetrator & perpetuating cycles of hatred and violence. The power men like him have must be broken, but the way to do it is not to break this one man. He is already broken – it’s all over his face. He is already prevented from doing more harm of this kind. I don’t think it’s for me to decide whether he walks free or not, but I do think that if he is allowed to walk free, making it my mission to shout him down any time he appears in public only perpetuates the cycle of violence that I am shouting about. If I make it my mission to harm Cosby for what he has done, that does nothing to eliminate violence in the world – it only increases it, because I am choosing to harm a human being – because he harmed human beings. It’s counterproductive. Instead, let’s all be motivated to end violence within ourselves, and to support every single human in breaking the cycle of violence within us – victims, perpetrators, and bystanders alike.

  • TheBurningBush

    thank you

  • TheBurningBush

well what did he really do that was so bad other than cope some dope for women and had consensual sex with them? and now the are broke, poor, mad and jealous cause Bill Cosby and his wife is wealthy happy and living well and these women ain’t going to let Bill and his wife have any peace because they are broke, lonely, poor and no body pampering them anymore, some of these women thought Bill was going to leave his wife for them but he didn’t now it’s payback time.

  • TheBurningBush

well a liar is a liar that’s what these women are.

  • TheBurningBush

you are exactly right Delores these women willingly got high partied and have sexual relationship with Bill as lond as he wanted them until he dropped them and moved on to the next one, some thought he would leave his wife for them but that didn’t happen so in the end all they got was some money and a good time now that they are old broke, poor and alone they have become envious and jealous of Bill and his wife success and these women along with the help of the media ain’t going to let Bill and his wife have any peace.

  • TheBurningBush

Well even though there were no rape Bill Cosby is finding out “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” Prov. There is nothing as unpleasant as a woman who has been offended or
whose love has not been returned. When Mary Ann discovered that George was not
in love with her, George discovered that hell hath no fury like a woman
scorned. Bill: I’m getting tired of going out with Mary; I think I’ll tell her
we’re through. Fred: Be careful. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, you
