The first post-credits scene for Deadpool mocks the one featured in the classic comedy movie Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. It features the title character joking about all the post-credits scenes in Marvel movies.
“What were you expecting? Sam Jackson in an eyepatch?” Deadpool snarkily says to the crowd.
In the second post-credits scene, Deadpool pops onto the screen to speak directly to the audience and reveal details about the sequel – the X-Men character Cable will be featured in it!
“Oh! I can tell you one thing, and it’s a bit of a secret,” Deadpool tells the audience. “The sequel? We’re gonna have Cable. Amazing character. Bionic arm, time travel! We have no idea who we’re going to cast yet, but it could be anyone. Just need a big guy with a flat top. Mel Gibson, Dolph Lundgren, Keira Knightley? She’s got range – who knows? Big secret, shhh. Oh, and don’t leave your garbage all lying around. It’s a total dick move. Go! Chica-chica!”
