Celebrities React to Donald Trump's Tweet About Flag Burning
Early this morning, Donald Trump took to Twitter to tweet that burning the American Flag should be punishable with “loss of citizenship” or a “year in jail.”
“Nobody should be allowed to burn the American flag – if they do, there must be consequences – perhaps loss of citizenship or year in jail!,” the President-elect wrote on his Twitter account.
Celebrities have been taking to Twitter this morning to react to the tweet – and some are pointing out that laws about flag burning have been shut down by the Supreme Court as recently as 1990 saying it violated the First Amendment of the Constitution. The First Amendment protects freedom of speech.

I pledged allegiance to the flag every morning inside an internment camp. I would never burn one, but I'd die to protect the right to do so. https://t.co/O5ecSQkyC2

Many of this guy's tweets attempt to manipulate. The rest is paranoid silliness unbecoming a credible head of state. Trust NOTHING. #Resist https://t.co/KuAHgcm1H2

We elected this farce to swear on Bible that he would uphold the Constitution of the United States. Do we deserve a great republic? https://t.co/1AMZuCNVeI

It's amazing that in such a short space of time we all accept that this is a genuine tweet by a world leader and that he hasn't been hacked. https://t.co/YH5hrDKeh4
