Here's Why Celebrities Are Wearing Black at Golden Globes 2018

Tonight at the 2018 Golden Globes, you may notice that many celebrities are dressed in all-black.

If you didn’t know, celebrities have been speaking out via the new initiative Time’s Up, where over 300 stars have come together to fight back against sexual harassment in the workplace.

In addition, the celebrities taking part have vowed to wear black at the Globes as a sign of solidarity with the victims of sexual harassment who have come forward in recent months.

Celebrities including Dakota Johnson, Emma Stone, Shonda Rhimes, Eva Longoria, and more have teamed up for the new initiative.

If you don’t know, Time’s Up’s initiative includes a legal defense fund that will help women protect themselves against sexual misconduct in the workplace and encourage them to report it when it happens. Time’s Up will also drive legislation to penalize any companies that tolerate harassment and it will seek to reach gender parity in Hollywood studios and talent agencies by 2020.
