Vinnie Paul Dead - Pantera & Damageplan Drummer Dies at 54

Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul has sadly passed away.

The 54-year-old musician’s passing was confirmed by the band on their Facebook page.

“Vincent Paul Abbott aka Vinnie Paul has passed away. Paul is best known for his work as the drummer in the bands Pantera and Hellyeah. No further details are available at this time. The family requests you please respect their privacy during this time,” the statement said.

In addition to being a co-founder of the Grammy-nominated band, Vinnie also played with Damageplan and Hellyeah.

Back in 2004, Vinnie‘s brother and band mate Dimebag Darrell was shot and killed onstage during a concert in Ohio.
