Ryan Phillippe to Play 21st Century Frankenstein for Pilot 'Alive'

Ryan Phillippe is going to be playing a modern-day Frankenstein in his new pilot for CBS titled, Alive. The pilot was formerly titled Frankenstein.

The show will center on a “San Francisco homicide detective (Phillippe) who is mysteriously brought back to life after being killed in the line of duty,” THR reports. No word on any additional casting for the show so far. Stay tuned!

This show, if picked up by the network, will mark Ryan‘s return to television after his show Shooter was cancelled last year.
