Beyonce Parts Ways With Music Advisor Teresa LaBarbera Whites After Almost 3 Decades (Report)

Beyonce is going in a new direction.

The 37-year-old Lemonade icon is parting ways with her music advisor of 28 years, Teresa LaBarbera Whites, according to Showbiz411 on Thursday (July 18).

According to the report, the split was amicable.

The two met when Beyonce was just nine years old. Teresa is responsible for helping to sign and launch Destiny’s Child, and is one of the most sought-after A&Rs in the music industry. She also keeps a notoriously low profile.

According to the report, “as Beyonce’s business grew, there was tension at the top of Parkwood Entertainment. A new co-COO, Steve Pamon, from JP Morgan Chase, was brought in. Art and commerce clashed. Pamon’s background is in running a company, not picking music or developing musical ideas. TLW has long been known in the industry as Beyonce’s secret weapon.
