Kansas City Chiefs' Derrick Nnadi Will Pay For Dog Adoption Fees After Winning Super Bowl LIV

Kansas City Chiefs player Derrick Nnadi is being praised on social media for what he did just after winning the Super Bowl LIV this weekend.

The 23-year-old defensive tackle actually paid off adoption fees for the dogs who were in a local animal shelter in Kansas City, for as long as it takes for those dogs to be adopted.

A spokesperson for the KC Pet Project said 20 dogs had been adopted through the program as of early Monday afternoon. Ten dogs are typically adopted on an average workday, ESPN says.

Before the Chiefs got to the Super Bowl, Derrick sponsored a program where he paid the adoption fee for one hard-to-adopt dog after each of the team’s victory. All of the dogs in that program found homes.

In response to his efforts, Rachael Ray revealed that her animal food line, Nutrish, will offer a free supply of pet food for all of 2020 to every one of the animals got get adopted.

“That is truly…truly AMAZING 🙏🏾” Derrick replied to her on Twitter.
