Dr. Dre's Wife Nicole Young Is Seeking $2 Million in Monthly Support

Dr. Dre‘s wife Nicole Young is asking for millions.

The estranged wife of the hip-hop entrepreneur filed for temporary spousal support, asking for $2 million a month in addition to $5 million in lawyer fees, The Blast reported Friday (September 4).

She has requested, an “order for pendente lite spousal support, in the guideline amount of $1,936,399 per month, retroactive to September 1, 2020.” A pendente lite is a temporary amount paid to one side while the case is still pending. When this is all over the amount may change based on a settlement or a judge’s permanent order.

In the documents, Nicole is claiming she was an integral part of Dr. Dre‘s success over the years. However Dr. Dre — who is now a billionaire, and is represented by Laura Wasser, claims his entire hip-hip empire was created and managed outside of his marriage.

“We’re told he believes it amounts to one simple thing, greed,” the outlet reports. The two announced their split back in June.
