John Boyega poses with his trophy backstage in the winners room at the 2016 EE British Academy Film Awards held at the Royal Opera House on Sunday (February 14) in London, England.

The 23-year-old Star Wars: The Force Awakens actor won the EE Rising Star Award, beating out Dakota Johnson, Brie Larson, Bel Powley, and Taron Egerton. The award was voted for by the public!

John revealed on the red carpet that he begins filming Star Wars: Episode VIII on Monday.

“I start tomorrow,” John told People. “I’ve got a 6 a.m. pickup tomorrow!”

Matt Smith looks super dapper while stepping at the 2016 EE British Academy Film Awards held at the Royal Opera House on Sunday (February 14) in London, England.

The 33-year-old Pride and Prejudice and Zombies actor was joined by Money Monster‘s Jack O’Connell and Brooklyn‘s Domhnall Gleeson.

The 43-year-old actor is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for his portrayal in Beasts of a Nation.

Also in attendance that evening was Mark Ruffalo alongside his wife Sunrise Coigney. He’s too is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for Spotlight. Sicario actor Benecio Del Toro made an appearance that evening on the red carpet for his Best Supporting Actor nomination.

Saoirse Ronan and Bel Powley hit the red carpet at the 2016 EE British Academy Film Awards held at the Royal Opera House on Sunday (February 14) in London, England.

The ladies are both nominees at the event this evening. Saoirse is up for Best Actress for her work in the movie Brooklyn while Bel, the star of The Diary of a Teenage Girl, is nominated for the EE Rising Star Award.

Also in attendance at the event was new mom Laura Haddock sans her husband Sam Claflin.

The ladies are both stars of the hit HBO series Game of Thrones and looked stunning on the carpet at the awards show.

Gwendoline is in attendance to support her movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which is nominated for four awards including Best Special Visual Effects and other technical prizes.

Isla Fisher shows off her killer curves in a form-fitting dress while attending the 2016 EE British Academy Film Awards held at the Royal Opera House on Sunday (February 14) in London, England.

The 40-year-old actress was joined by her husband Sacha Baron Cohen.

Back in December, Isla and Sacha revealed that they were donating $1 million to Save the Children and the International Rescue Committee to fund a measles vaccination program for children in Northern Syria and support families who are suffering from the ongoing conflict.
