Pregnant Eva Amurri's Ex Kyle Martino Will Not Be in the Delivery Room When She Gives Birth

Eva Amurri and her husband Kyle Martino broke up in November, two months after they revealed to the world that they are expecting their third child together.

The 34-year-old actress (and daughter of Susan Sarandon) has now revealed that Kyle, 39, will not be in the delivery room when she welcomes their child into the world.

“Birth is so emotional, and so I knew early on that having Kyle there wasn’t going to feel right to me,” Eva wrote on her blog. “Our intimacy level has totally changed now that we aren’t a couple, obviously, and in order to really let go and allow labor to progress (especially with a Home Birth) it’s so important to feel completely at ease in your body and support.”

Eva will not be alone in the delivery room and she says that Kyle will meet their son right after he is born. People in the room will include her five-year-old daughter Marlowe, her three-year-old son Major, her female midwives, her doula, and some female friends.

“I’m excited for them to witness the miracle of birth for the first time, and to hopefully take that experience with them forever as they grow into adults as well,” she said.

Eva says that she and Kyle “both feel good about this decision.”

Eva Amurri Explains Why She Stopped Breastfeeding Her Son

Eva Amurri Martino is opening up about why she decided to stop breastfeeding her baby boy Major after a couple months.

The 31-year-old actress is speaking out in hopes of taking away the stigma of choosing not to breastfeed your child until the recommended age of at least a year old.

Eva explained on her blog Happily Eva After that after Major was dropped by his night nurse when he was five weeks old, her “breastfeeding journey got totally thrown off.”

“While we were in the hospital with him, and in the next couple of weeks, my milk supply dipped big time,” Eva said.

“But then, my post-partum anxiety began, and my milk supply has been so troubled ever since. On ‘good days’ it was fine, and Major would be able to easily get a robust and full feeding from me” but then on the bad days or weeks when I was having a hard time emotionally, my supply would suffer,” Eva said. “What made this even worse is how much I would blame myself for it all. I would put so much pressure on myself to battle the anxiety so that my son’s food source wouldn’t suffer.”

Eva Amurri Responds to Critics After Sharing Story of Son's Accident

Eva Amurri Martino is speaking out about the the immense response to her reveal that her 10-week-old son Major James “cracked his head on the hardwood floor.”

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has reached out with words of comfort or to share their own stories the past 24 hours. It is so moving to know there are so many of you who are wishing our sweet boy well, and who are rooting us on as a family,” Eva wrote on Instagram.

“I’d like to say one thing, which is that Parenthood is not a competition. Nobody gets an award at the end of all of it for doing it the best or most perfect way. All that matters is how we make our children feel, how we feel about them, and how we feel about ourselves as parents,” Eva continued. “To those who have expressed judgement, cruelty, and criticism of me, my choices, or my fragility during this time- I’m not going to justify myself to you. But I sincerely wish that 2017 brings you enough self love and confidence that you no longer feel the need to tear down another person during their darkest moment. ❤🙏🏼✨ Peace, please. Xx EAM.”
