The 45-year-old The Good Nurse actress got candid in an interview with Marie Claire about her daughter, offering rare comments about the advice she gave to her, as well as growing up with a single mother.
If you didn’t know, Jessica welcomed daughter Giulietta in April of 2018 with husband Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo. They also have a second child, a son named Augustus.
The 45-year-old actress took to social media to react to a report that she was “personally offended by the lyrics to Tammy Wynette‘s song “Stand By Your Man,” which she performed in the new biopic series George & Tammy.

The 45-year-old actress, who stars opposite Michael Shannon in the limited series, opened up in a new interview, revealing it was very daunting performing Tammy‘s best known songs, including “Stand By Your Man”.
It was a busy day of press for the co-stars as they were at the SiriusXM studios earlier that day for a discussion about the series.
The premiere of George & Tammy will happen on Sunday, December 4 at 9 pm ET on Showtime and Paramount Network. The remainder of the season will be available exclusively on Showtime, with new episodes available on streaming and on-demand for all Showtime, as well as Paramont+ with Showtime bundle, subscribers on Fridays, before making its on-air debut on Sundays at 9 pm ET.

The two co-stars, along with series creator Abe Sylvia, spoke with the Julia Cunningham and Jess Cagle about their new Showtime miniseries, George & Tammy, which actually started as a movie.
During another recent interview, Jessica and Michael recalled working with vocal coach Ron Browning for months, rehearsing Jones and Wynette’s top songs.
“These songs, they’re pretty deep and they’ve got some dark corners in them, and we spent a lot of time with them,” Michael shared with Vanity Fair. “In addition to learning how to sing them, I think they also kind of taught us about who the people were and the story we were telling.”
Jessica added that at the core of the series is the love story.
“I started to listen to the music and understood that they were always singing to each other,” she said. “They were both a huge part of each other’s lives.”
Jessica also added that overcoming her fear of singing live in front of a theater full of extras was “the scariest thing I’ve ever done.”
