Teresa Giudice is speaking out after her husband Joe Giudice was ordered to be deported to Italy after being released from prison.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star posted a picture on her Instagram of the Statue of Liberty with her head in her hands crying on Sunday (October 14).

If you didn’t know, Joe was sentenced to 41 months in jail back in 2014 and entered jail on March 23, 2016 after he and Teresa pled guilty to multiple charges of fraud.

He has been ordered to be removed from the United States and sent to Italy at the end of his prison sentence, and has 30 days to appeal the decision.

Joe Giudice, who previously appeared on the Real Housewives of New Jersey with his wife Teresa Giudice, will be deported to Italy once he’s out of jail for mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud.

People reports that the 46-year-old reality star, who was sentenced in March of 2016, will be released in 2019 and deported. He is set to be jailed for 41-months for his crimes.

No official statement has been made at this time. Teresa, who is now a bodybuilder, spent time in prison as well and was released almost three years ago. The couple are parents to Gia, 17, Gabriella, 14, Milania, 12, and Audriana, 9.

“Joe Giudice surrendered himself to the Federal Correctional Institution at Fort Dix today at 12 p.m. to begin serving his sentence. His brother, his sister and several other members of the Giudice family, as well as myself, were present when he turned himself in to the prison, including Teresa. It was obviously a very emotional day, but this is a very strong family with a tremendous support system and they will get through this, just as they did when Teresa was away,” his lawyer said in a statement (via People).

Joe is supposed to serve 41 months in prison. Teresa was just released from prison in late December after spending nearly a year incarcerated.

Teresa Giudice has sent a message (via her lawyer) to her fans while arriving home in New Jersey after being released from her Connecticut federal prison on Wednesday (December 23).

The 43-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star told fans “‘Merry Christmas. Happy New Year….all of you should go be with your families and your loved ones,’” her lawyer, James J. Leonard Jr., said (via E! News).

Teresa‘s family, including husband Joe, and their four daughters Gia, 14, Gabriella, 11, Milania, 10, and Audriana, 6, were waiting for their mom’s arrival.

“It was very emotional,” James continued. “It was a private moment but it was very emotional, very powerful and it was something to see. Gia was up early this morning and then the younger ones started to get up. I think they got a little bit of sleep. I got no sleep. Teresa says that she didn’t sleep at all. Joe slept a little bit. I think everyone is going to sleep well tonight, myself included.”

Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Joe Giudice sat down for a tell-all interview with the Today show on Wednesday (October 7) to discuss his wife Teresa, her jail time, and more.

“I was to blame, sure,” the 43-year-old reality star said of the situation. “I took full responsibility for everything, but they still put her away. I was supposed to go away, not her. That was part of the plea, or I thought anyway. I don’t know what happened in the courtroom that day.”

“I was just signing my name. I would never fill out anything. I wasn’t an accountant, I wasn’t a mortgage person, I wasn’t a banker,” Joe said of his legal problems. He also added about the rumors that he has been dating other people, “I don’t date anybody. I don’t go on dates. None of that is true.”

Joe also spoke with ET about his wife in prison. “She’s holding up. I can’t say she’s doing great but she looks good. She keeps her spirits up and tries to make us feel like she’s OK but she’s really not. She wants to be home.”

“She says she’s got an easy job, she likes it, she doesn’t wanna change, I think she wipes down a couple tables a day. She’s done within three minutes and that her job. I think she’s making a dollar a day or maybe a dollar a month, I’m not sure,” Joe added.

Gia Giudice is coming to her dad Joe Giudice‘s defense after rumors were spread that he cheated on his wife, The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice.

“honestly hilarious how people go out of their way to make my family looks bad..😂✋ #nicetryppl,” Gia, 14, wrote on Twitter. “I need a break from all this.. a new beginning.”

Joe also slammed the rumor that he had an affair just four weeks before Teresa went to prison.

“No, I did not flirt with her. I did not make out with her, nothing happened between us,” Joe told Us Weekly. “Everything InTouch is saying that happened between us are lies.”
