'Lucifer' Renewed for Sixth & Final Season

Lucifer will be returning to Netflix for one final season!

The hit Netflix show announced the news on Twitter, writing, “the devil made us do it. 😈 #lucifer will return for a sixth and final season. like, FINAL final.”

Netflix previously announced that season five would be the show’s last season, but the fan favorite show is a consistent hit on the streamer and fans petitioned for the show to get another season.

Just this week, Netflix released the hottest video announcing the season five premiere of the show (which featured the show’s star Tom Ellis fully in the buff!)

And if you missed it, diehard fans of Lucifer won’t really be surprised by this news because of what happened in May.

The fifth season has always been billed as Lucifer‘s last, however, fans have some good news to celebrate. It appears as if season five may not be the show’s last!

Tom Ellis Officially Signs On for More 'Lucifer,' Season 6 Renewal Expected

Tom Ellis has signed on to return for an additional season of his hit series Lucifer!

The show originally launched on Fox, where it lasted three seasons. Netflix saved the series and gave it two more seasons, with the fifth one billed as the final season.

Now, Deadline reports that Tom has signed on for a sixth season, though Netflix hasn’t officially ordered one yet. It’s being said that it “took lengthy, difficult negotiations” to get him to return for more episodes.

The rest of the Lucifer cast has also signed on for season six and Netflix is expected to order the season.

Tom Ellis Extends 'Lucifer' Contract, Potential Sixth Season Coming!

Tom Ellis, who stars in the leading role in Lucifer on Netflix, has reportedly extended his contact to include a sixth season on the streaming service.

TV Line is reporting that this all but confirms another season will happen.

Many of his co-stars also have deals that would carry them into a possible sixth season.

Lucifer was originally supposed to end at Netflix after season five, but fans have been committed to getting more seasons. Even this star has joined in on the petition to get the show to have more seasons!

'Lucifer' Casts Dennis Haysbert as God for Final Season!

Lucifer has finally found its God!

Dennis Haysbert has joined the the cast of the Netflix series as Lucifer’s (Tom Ellis) dad for the fifth and final season, EW reports.

“We did like the big crazy list of [possible actors for the part], and he was my top choice,” Lucifer co-showrunner Joe Henderson shared. “We were lucky. It was our first and only offer.”

Neil Gaiman – whose Sandman comics inspired the series – voiced the character of God in one of season three’s bonus episodes.

Netflix has not announced the release date for the final season of Lucifer yet.

'Lucifer' Season 5 Will Be Split Into Two Parts on Netflix

Kelly Clarkson, her mom and her sister all visited the set of Lucifer, and got some scoop about the upcoming fifth and final season of the show.

“Season 5 of Lucifer is going to be split into two halves,” the star of the show, Tom Ellis, told Kelly during her visit. “Netflix is going to drop eight episodes, and then there’s going to be a little break, and then they’re going to drop another eight episodes.”

So far, Netflix has not given the show a season five part one release date. Stay tuned as we find out more!

Kelly Clarkson Visits Tom Ellis on 'Lucifer' Set, Teases Season 5 Surprise!

Kelly Clarkson spent the day on set of one of her favorite shows!

The 37-year-old singer filmed a segment for her talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show on set of the Netflix series Lucifer where she hung out with the show’s star Tom Ellis.

In photos shared by Netflix on Twitter, Kelly posed with cast members including Tom and Aimee Grace. In another shot, Kelly chatted with Tom while cameras from her show recorded them.

Netflix then also tweeted that Kelly‘s visit on set is the setup for some big news that she’ll be sharing soon!

“#Lucifer superfan @kellyclarkson not only brought the @KellyClarksonTV cameras to set for an episode airing on October 28 but she’ll also be dropping some news about Season 5,” Netflix tweeted.

Fans have started to speculate that Kelly might be announcing the Lucifer season five premiere date or that she might be making a guest appearance.
