Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have made a new movie with their son Truman Hanks!
The longtime married couple and their 26-year-old son stepped out for a special screening of their movie A Man Called Otto on Monday night (December 5) at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.
Tom and Truman both star in the movie, which Tom produced with Rita. She also recorded a song for the soundtrack!
Also in attendance at the screening were co-stars Mariana Trevino, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, and Kelly Lamor Wilson, as well as directed Marc Forster and writer David Magee.
A Man Called Otto tells the story of Otto Anderson (Hanks), a grump who no longer sees purpose in his life following the loss of his wife. Otto is ready to end it all, but his plans are interrupted when a lively young family moves in next door, and he meets his match in quick-witted Marisol. She challenges him to see life differently, leading to an unlikely friendship that turns his world around. A heartwarming and funny story about love, loss, and life, A Man Called Otto shows that family can sometimes be found in the most unexpected places.
The movie will be released exclusively in LA/NY on December 30, in limited theaters on January 6, and everywhere on January 13.
