Taryn Manning is clarifying her comments after slamming her stylist for letting her wear a $200 dress to the 2018 SAG Awards.

The 39-year-old Orange Is The New Black actress is asking for forgiveness and expressing how she felt “used” in the situation.

“I first want to say I’m sorry for the comments I made while being bombarded by paparazzi about my stylist and my dress. Let’s be clear, I loved my @adriannapapell dress and I’m friends with my stylist @chaunielle_brown,” Taryn wrote.

She added, “I felt so beautiful and I was proud to be there to support my amazing cast of strong women and celebrate our nomination. But styling should be a collaboration between the artist, stylist and the designer. I was completely caught off guard when all of the press about my dress was about the cost, which I knew nothing about, and I felt used for someone else’s gain. There was nothing out there about why I was there in the first place.”

“I would have loved to embrace that my dress was affordable at SAG, especially since so much about fashion is unattainable, but I wasn’t given that chance. Every artist dreams of wearing couture on a red carpet if given the opportunity. But I am happy to be the proof that there is more to feeling confident, beautiful and happy on the inside than just a price tag,” Taryn concluded.

Taryn Manning wore a dress that retails for $200 while at the 2018 SAG Awards this past weekend, but she’s not happy about it.

The 39-year-old actress, who was nominated for her work in Orange Is the New Black, told TMZ that she’s upset her stylist didn’t inform her the dress was so inexpensive, but she’s glad others can afford her look.

“My $200 dress, is that what you said?” Taryn said when questioned by the site’s photographer. “Yeah, it’s cool” he said in response.

“No, it’s not,” she replied. “It’s wack that my stylist didn’t tell me that. Now everyone else can afford it, that’s what’s cool about it, but it still sucks for me… I want to be in like a superstar gown… So the designer got a lot of press. She should pay me a lot of money.”

The cast of Orange is the New Black are sharing why they love their show so much.

The cast – which included Danielle Brooks, Laverne Cox, Uzo Aduba, Taryn Manning, Taylor Schilling and former cast member Samira Wiley – attended the screening and panel discussion of the upcoming season on Friday (May 5) at the Saban Media Center in Los Angeles.

Taylor and Laverne both praised the show for dealing and echoing the real issues that is going on in today’s time.

“There’s a ripple effect and in our case it allows for the audience to see people who may be outside of their sexuality, race, socioeconomic status, size, gender or many number of things and see how it relates to them,” Taylor said. “I think crossing those lines is a political act, but that’s not the genesis of it.”

“It has us constantly thinking beyond ourselves because the stakes are so high,” Laverne said.

Season 5 of OITNB is set to premiere on Netflix on June 9.

I try to eat as good as I can, and I try to sleep,” Jared expressed. “But for films, I would do whatever it takes. I made a movie in Budapest, Bladerunner, and it was a lot of makeup and big transformation. [For] another movie in Japan I had tattoos everywhere – all over my body, my whole body – it was crazy. Eight hours in makeup.”
