Jennifer recently won a restraining order against a man she claims has been stalking her for years. The order will grant the former Alias star, her husband Ben Affleck and Violet three years of protection from Steven R. Burky, 36.

Later in the day, Jennifer, 36, and Violet had their own little adventure as they stopped by The Rehwold Chapel in Los Angeles.

Jennifer’s former co-star and close friend of the family, Victor Garber, told OK! Magazine that he’s very happy about the new addition to their growing family: “I’m very excited about the new child and I just love spending time with them. They’re a great family.”

Ben Affleck hosted this past week’s Saturday Night Live, where John McCain made a guest appearance on the show. While hosting the show,
Ben insisted backing McCain would actually benefit Obama’s candidacy because every candidate he’s supported in the past has lost.

“Of course like many of you, my mind is on next Tuesday, with this incredibly important election. I’ve always been politically active myself,” Ben said on SNL. “Basically my support has the opposite effect, so it seems the best thing I can do for the Democratic party is stand here tonight and announce my endorsement of Senator John MCCain. He’s actually here tonight. He’s a great guy. I can’t wait to tell him the news, I’m sure he’ll be thrilled.”

Jennifer Garner and her husband Ben Affleck take Violet Affleck shopping at the Scholastic Kids Store in Soho, NYC, on Sunday.

After picking up a few things at the Scholastic store, the Affleck family then went back to their apartment to finish packing for their trip. They all then headed for the airport a short while later.

On Saturday, Jen and Violet visited the Children’s Museum in New York City and also stopped by Matt Damon’s apartment.

For Halloween, Jennifer and Violet, 2, dressed up as canine friends Ted and Fred from the “Big Dog . . . Little Dog” book series.

Ben Affleck recently opened up about his high-profile engagement to Jennifer Lopez, saying they were “too accessible” to the media.

“I think Jen and I made a mistake in that we fell in love, we were excited and maybe too accessible,” Affleck said. “I don’t think either of us anticipated the degree to which it would take on a world of its own.”

Jennifer, 36, matched Violet in her costume, donning a green sweater with the name ‘Fred’ across the middle of it. Ted & Fred are two lovable dogs who are also good friends, although they are very different. Fred is tall and rather bumbling; Ted is short and more capable. When they go camping, they often have their own preferences and ways of doing things.

The mother-daughter duo was also out and about this afternoon picking up last minute Halloween decorations.
