Jessica Alba's Health Issues Inspired the Honest Company

Jessica Alba and her husband Cash Warren check out of their hotel on Tuesday afternoon (May 6) in New York City.

The 33-year-old actress was in town with her hubby to attend the 2014 Met Ball the night before.

Jessica, who is on the cover of Glamour‘s latest issue, shared with the mag about how she was inspired to start the Honest Company.

“That’s what really inspired me to start Honest. I had so many health issues, and come hell or high water, my kids were going to be as healthy as possible,” Jessica said. “My life was tough as a kid. I was so lonely. And I felt really disconnected from my friends because I spent so much time in the hospital with grown-ups, and felt like a weirdo. It’s a strange way to spend your time as a kid. All you want to do is play.”
