Zendaya Won't Be Portraying Aaliyah in the Lifetime Biopoic!

Zendaya has decided not to star as Aaliyah in the upcoming Lifetime movie about her life!

“Zendaya is no longer involved in the project,” a rep for the 17-year-old actress told E! News.

A source also revealed to E! News that there were production issues that caused Zendaya to drop out of the film.

“Aaliyah has always been an inspiration to Zendaya,” the source said. “She was honored to portray her and pay tribute to her. If she is going to do it, she wants to do it right.”
