Tennis Star Caroline Wozniacki Opens Up Again On Ex-Fiance Rory McIlroy Calling Off Engagement Over Phone

Caroline Wozniacki has finally opened up about her broken engagement to golf player Rory McIlroy.

“I was shocked. I thought at least it would be face-to-face or something but there was nothing,” the 24-year-old Danish tennis player told In Depth With Graham Bensinger (via The Guardian). “It was a phone call and I didn’t hear from him again.”

She added, “It was very hard because he made it very public from the start. He put out a press release and all of that so it just got put in my face.”

In case you weren’t aware, Caroline and Rory called off their engagement in May.

“The wedding invitations issued at the weekend made me realize that I wasn’t ready for all that marriage entails,” Rory said in a statement after the news was made public.
