Charlize Theron's 'Dark Places' Trailer Has a Total 'Gone Girl' Vibe

Charlize Theron stars in the trailer for the new thriller Dark Places, from the Gone Girl author Gillian Flynn.

The 39-year-old actress takes the leading role in the film about a woman who survived the brutal killing of her family as a child and is forced to confront the events of that day by a secret society obsessed with solving notorious crimes.

Nicholas Hoult, Chloe Moretz, Corey Stoll, Christina Hendricks and more are set to star in the film, adapted from the book by the same title. It will be released this year.
