Jim Carrey Releases Statement About Girlfriend Cathriona White's Apparent Suicide

Jim Carrey has released a statement after the tragic death of his on again/off again girlfriend Cathriona White, 28, who died in an apparent suicide on Monday (September 28).

The 53-year-old actor told Just Jared, “I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona. She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt.”

Law enforcement officials responded to a call on Monday and they believe a drug overdose was involved.
