Lupita Nyong'o Honored With 'Lupita Nyong'o' Day In Harlem

Lupita Nyong’o wraps herself up in a warm red scarf while heading to the theater in New York City on Saturday afternoon (October 24).

The 32-year-old Oscar winning actress is currently starring in Eclipsed, which will head to Broadway next year.

Earlier in the week, Lupita was honored in Harlem, where after a speaking event, Congressman Charles Rangel declared that October 20th is officially “Lupita Nyong’o Day” in borough.

“My heart is swollen with the love and welcome I just received from the Harlem community,” Lupita wrote on Instagram after the ceremony.
