Katharine McPhee Returns to 'American Idol' for Stunning 'Over the Rainbow' Performance! (Video)

Katharine McPhee gives a stunning performance during her return to the American Idol stage on Thursday (March 24) in Los Angeles.

The 31-year-old entertainer, who came in second place on the fifth season of the singing competition series, reprised her “Over the Rainbow” performance during the appearance.

After she sang, host Ryan Seacrest brought out an employee who was one of Katharine‘s superfans during her Idol days and he explained how he made everyone at school vote for her.

David Cook, who won season seven, also returned to the show to perform his new single “Heartbeat.”
