Saoirse Ronan Is Low Key in NYC Ahead of 'Crucible' Opening

The 21-year-old actress is currently starring as Abigail Williams in the Broadway production of The Crucible, which is now in previews.

Saoirse told New York magazine that working on stage is different from film because there’s no break from the character.

“Usually my [film] preparation is learning my lines and then going on set and trying different things out, and hopefully you capture it and then it’s done, out of your hands,” Saoirse said. “Whereas with a play, it’s constantly evolving. There’s no real respite.”
