Alicia Vikander Confirms 'Tomb Raider' Role Will Be Based Off Rebooted Game!

The 27-year-old actress is in town to promote her latest film Jason Bourne after making her rounds overseas with co-star Matt Damon.

Alicia recently confirmed that her role as Lara Croft will be more focused on becoming the Tomb Raider, much like in the more recent games.

“They told me they were doing the film based on the reboot of the game from 2013,” Alicia revealed (via HitFlix). “That is more of an origin story. You get into an emotional aspect of getting to know Lara hopefully in an in-depth way. So I hope that doing a film of the rebooted game will bring something new and fresh that’ll stand on its own two legs.”
