J.K. Rowling Wants 'Harry Potter' Play to Go International
J.K. Rowling poses with the cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the play’s press preview on Saturday (July 30) at The Palace Theatre in London, England.
Before the play began, the Harry Potter author opened up about her hopes for the future of the play.
“I’d love it to go wider than [Broadway]. I’d like as many Potter fans to see it as possible,” she explained to THR.
The play’s producer Sonia Friedman added, “Hopefully more than America, hopefully many countries at some point will get to see it. But it’s a big piece of theater, it’s a big endeavor, you can’t just turn it around overnight. But if everything goes to plan over the years, we will get there.”
