Isabelle Huppert Calls New Film 'One Of The Most Exhilarating Experiences' In Her Life - Watch Trailer!
Isabelle Huppert is calling her new film Elle one of the “most exhilarating experiences” in her life!
“It was one of the most exhilarating experiences in my actor’s life,” the 63-year-old actress told EW. “It was the end of 12 weeks of being in every frame, every day – every moment, every second – and that’s quite rare, this concentration, this intensity. When it ended, it was a particular explosion of relief, joy, and happiness.”
In the flick, Isabelle plays a woman named Michèle, head of a leading video game company, she brings the same ruthless attitude to her love life as to business. Being attacked in her home by an unknown assailant changes Michèle’s life forever. When she resolutely tracks the man down, they are both drawn into a curious and thrilling game”a game that may, at any moment, spiral out of control.
“She’s a prototype,” Isabelle added about her character. “You have no reference with her. She’s not a victim. She doesn’t react like a victim. But she also doesn’t react as a predictable avenger kind of a woman. She is somewhere else.”
Isabelle rocked a red ensemble while joining director Paul Verhoeven at the premiere of Elle held during the AFI Fest 2016 at The Egyptian Theatre on Sunday (November 13) in Hollywood.
