Adam Driver Confesses That He's 'Very Wary Of Hollywood Movies'!
Adam Driver is opening up about not being a fan of big Hollywood films, and how it effected his approach to doing Star Wars: The Force Awakens!
“I had a lot of apprehension,” the 33-year-old actor confessed to THR. “I’m very wary of Hollywood movies because I feel like a lot of them sacrifice story for spectacle and it’s very much about effects and results as opposed to characters that you can actually connect with. But the first words out of J.J. [Abrams]‘s mouth were about story and character that would propel the plot forward, not an effect, and that was really exciting to me.”
Last night (December 8), Adam flashed a smile alongside his co-star Liam Neeson and writer-director Martin Scorsese at the New York screening of their latest film Silence held at the Regal E-Walk Theater on Thursday (December 8) in New York City.
The trio were later joined by producers Emma Tillinger Koskoff, Randall Emmett and Irwin Winkler, as well as film editor Thelma Schoonmaker at a special panel for the flick.
FYI: Adam is wearing a Baldwin sweater.
